The Early Career Researcher Program within the International Society of Chemical Ecology is hosting the first virtual showcase and panel highlighting people and their journeys in chemical ecology. We will have student lightning talks, followed by presentations from some current and past leaders of our societies (ISCE, ALAEQ and APACE) on their journey through science and academia. We will close with a panel of our senior scientists to allow students and early career researchers to ask questions about the academic journey and gain networking opportunities
Our first session will take place September 3rd, 2026, at 18:00 Eastern Time. All are welcome to attend but we particularly encourage early career researchers to come and engage in networking and mentorship opportunities with senior researchers in the society. While participation will provide the most benefit, we hope to record the session for those in incompatible timezones.
Finally, it is not a student showcase without students to showcase! We are also seeking student volunteers to give lightning talks at the showcase. Talks will be relatively short (~3 minutes), and we encourage a diversity of topics and people. You can sign up at the following link: ECR Showcase Student Presenters.
